Hey guys, Thanks so much for taking the time to speak to us. Please can you let our followers know more about you?
TNT Extreme Wrestling is a Liverpool-based promotion that has taken the British wrestling scene by storm. Over the last couple of years we have been named as British wrestling’s best-kept secret. As we roll into 2020, that secret has gotten out as we have been showcasing not only the best UK wrestling-but the best in the World!
What drew you guys into the world of wrestling?
I have been a huge fan of wrestling for as far back as I can remember, especially the original ECW. The mix of fast-paced technical wrestling and hardcore wrestling stuck with me. From then on, being a part of wrestling was my goal. I started attending British wrestling shows which inspired to start up my own promotion.
What makes you guys extreme?
We host annual deathmatch tournaments called DOA and showcase some hardcore matches within our Extreme Division with guys like Jimmy Havoc, Mikey Whiplash, Clint Magera, RSP, Jack Jester, Drew Parker and many more.
Although we have EXTREME in our title this doesn’t mean that is our sole focus. We also have heavy-hitting, fast-paced, technical, high flying matches too.
How long have you guys been running?
We have been running since 2015, so that will be 5 years.
What advice do you have to up and coming wrestlers?
Get in the best shape of your life, get yourself in a quality school, study your graft, present yourself the best way you can, and always remain humble and be grateful for the opportunity you are given!
What wrestlers on your roster do we need to keep an eye out for?
We currently have 2 brands - one being TNT Extreme Wrestling which already includes established talent such as David Starr, Mikey Whiplash, Kings of the North, Clint Magera, Lizzy Evo, She-Wolves...the list goes on.
The second, TNT IGNition, our other brand. This is the place to keep an eye on all talent that roster such as Kid Lykos 2, Big Guns Joe, Kameron Solas, Craig West, Young Guns, Crashboat, Sandy Beach, Chase Alexander, Scott Oberman, Tom Thelwell, and once again the list goes on.
How has merchandise helped you guys with your franchise?
Merchandising has been a powerful tool for all of us at TNT Extreme Wrestling. We have some amazing designers on board so every time we release some new merchandise, it always sells out quickly. Fortunately, with the help from our great sponsors at Pins and Knuckles we are able to supply all of our fans with the best quality merchandise.
What tips and tricks regarding wrestling merchandising have you picked up along the way?
You can’t just whack a logo on a piece of clothing and expect it to fly off the merch table at your events. You need a general idea of what your fans are most likely to buy. You need to gauge what your followers favour and mix it up with a creative mind. Ultimately, you need to find yourself a great designer who can work well with you using your artwork and produce something the fans will love.
What is your favourite match of all time?
I really can’t answer that but it would probably involve wrestlers such as Owen Hart, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Y2J, Shawn Micheals, Sabu and RVD.
If a non-wrestling fan asked what match to watch to get them into wrestling, what match would you recommend?
What is your all-time favourite PPV?
Tough question to answer as there are too many. It would probably be Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, WCW or ECW PPV.
What has been the most memorable experience in your wrestling career?
Working with Scott Hall, Pac, Pentagon Jr, Rey Fenix, Sabu, Ace Austin, GCW and CZW.
How has the wrestling industry changed since you first got started?
It seems like British wrestling keeps improving with such amazing promotions all around the UK but it feels amazing to be a part of the industry and also to put Liverpool on the map for British Wrestling.
Where can people find you online and where can we watch your events?
TNT Extreme Wrestling on all social media platforms and Turnbuckle TV.
